Get Ready To Lose Fabregas

Unfortunately for us fans Barcelona has launched yet another bid for Cesc Fabregas. They are getting desperate and want to bring Cesc in to the strengthen their lineup. Honestly I don't blame them seeing how Real Madrid is stacking up their side. However for us Arsenal fans that just means that we should get ready to say good bye to Fabregas. The new bid...

Is currently undisclosed. However rumors have it that it's going to make decision making for Arsene very very hard. Arsenal, financially strapped as it is, will probably off load the player given that the offer is around the range of his price tag of £40 million.

If soccer history has taught me anything it's that this much hype around a transfer normally ends up in it happening. It's just a matter of two sides playing hard to get so they can negotiate better but are certainly looking to make things happen. God, I hope I'm wrong about this but I have a very strong feeling I'm not.

Here's why I think Cesc is on his way.

1. His statement that he would like to join Barcelona.
2. Arsenal can use the money, believe it or not, it's all about the money for the club these days.
3. Arsenal hasn't won a trophy in four years where as Barcelona has been on prime form. And any player in the world wants to be a part of the winning side.
4. Arsenal has lost their legacy as a top club and players these days want to be associated with top clubs, which Barcelona is.
5. Move to Barcelona means a better contract for Cesc.

*Sigh*, Again I honestly hope I'm wrong however odds say otherwise. It'll take a real believer to turn down a club like Barca or Real for that matter to believe in Arsenal for one more season. Is Fabregas Stevie G? Time will tell...

Nah... even if cesc leaves, we are not short of options. Based on the performances of the team last season, when cesc was injured, we werent quite bad at all. We were unbeaten for almost 20 matches without him.

We are not short of options to replace cesc fabregas be it now or in the future. If cesc does leave, we have nasri. Nasri is a talent in the attacking midfielder role as we have seen it last season when he played in that role in the absense of cesc.

Secondly, Arshavin. This guy works magic on the left. Imagine moving him into the middle, and with his precision in passing, he can release the 2 strikers, the 2 wingers or the 2 attacking full backs. Plus in arshavin, we have someone who can shoot and definitely not short of confidence. However, arshavin in the middle of the park means, we really need someone that can win us the ball, and definitely not Song, Denilson or Diaby.

The third option which we have is rosicky. He plays in this role for his country and i reckon that with his range of passing and shooting (similar in style to arshavin), he would have no problem fitting right in. The only problem is, can he keep himself fit the whole season.

In the future, we have wilshere, merida, lansbury and ramsey that are capable of making the role his own.

So I would not be that sad if fabregas was sold to madrid or barca. We have options. By selling him off and getting 40 million, I would definitely say yes. Sell adebayor and diaby as well and we would get another 30 million.

70 million can get us another striker, Eden hazard, Blaise Matuidu, Ever Banega and Naldo and we would still be left wit a hugh chunk of the money.

So my verdict, if a good offers come in for cesc fabregas or emmanuel adebayor, just sell them. The reason being we have plenty of options to fill their shoes.

Id be quite happy for him to go. We have a few players lined up with similar talent but who are more powerful.
We would have to spend some of the money we got from the sale of fabregas on a powerful CM/DM, but I dont think his style is useful to us anymore. We play with 2 attacking wingers now, we need 2 strong defensive .
Thing is, I dont see how fabregas would fit into barcelona's lineup. Unless a forward left and iniesta moved to the wing position...

I dont think cesc will leave this year.

He loves Arsenal FC as much as he loves Barca.

lol, we not going to sell cesc for 40mill - why would we do that if ronaldo cost 80mill. oh and how many times has cesc come out and said that he is not leaving this summer. and its world cup year so hes going to want to be playing first team football - will he get in front of xavi and iniesta - no.

How many times does Fabs have to keep stating "I'M STAYING AT ARSENAL"? Where are the Arsenal SUPPORTERS? Positive stuff please, and if it's negative, show your facts

I don't mind fabregas going, let him go if he wants to go. Honestly, I am sick and tired of this I want to join Barca thing. Yes we all know he loves Barca and he will want to join them one day but I honestly think he should want to stay with Arsenal not because he is the club captain but because he loves the club.

Fabrepass has honestly not done enough to show he wants to remain a gunner. The onyl thing he has said is that he is not leaving because he is the captain of the club and not because he loves the club.

I want a player who loves the club wholeheartedly. Don't get me wrong guys, I love Fabregas, he is infact my favorite Arsenal player and one of the favorite in the whole behind Okocha, Zidane and Henry but Arsenal comes first for me, no one even comes close.
