Bentornato Patrick Vieira

Needless to say that Kolo Toure's departure was disappointing for all us and it's too soon for the wounds to heal but what can we say Arsene Knows Best so fuck it, time to move on I guess. And what better way to move and hope that wounds will heal soon than bringing back the one and only LEGENDARY PATRICK VIEIRA.

The thought of ex-Arsenal captain making a return is just sensational. I can't believe we sold him off in the first place, probably one of the biggest blows the club had taken in years. It was all downhill from there.

Now I realize that Vieira is coming back a bit aged, a bit worn and a bit torn. But to me that doesn't matter for a couple of reasons. First of, experience still matters, if you can't deliver yourself there is always room to pass on the knowledge and there is no better club than Arsenal in the entire EPL to pass knowledge on to. Plenty of youngsters hungry to learn and kick some solid ass. Secondly it's Vieira, if nothing else he'll bring the love for the club, the game and one tough ass kicking intimidating attitude that he's had throughout his career.

Honestly can't wait for this deal to wrap up so we can watch him in action again at the club and say bentornato Patrick Vieira or in English.... Welcome Home Patrick Vieira.

Toure Out...? Are You Fricking Kidding Me

I've yet to see a major source confirming this, so I might be throwing a fit over nothing however from what i've heard so far Toure seems to be on his way to Manchester City. BBC claims that he is in "talks". Here's the thing, from the sounds and looks of things its going to happen and here is what's bothering me. Who the hell is going to hold up the fort..... SERIOUSLY!!!

I realize that we need to raise money to bring in some quality stars but shouldn't we be hanging on to the ones we already have. I recall last season our defensive line up lacked because Toure & Gallas were both injured at one point and The Young Guns were left to defend. No disrespect to them, they are really starting to come out of their shells but they didn't do a fantastic job last season.

I believed the reason for a miserable season last year was only because of the number of injuries and no backup players. I was honestly hoping that we would add to our squad rather than replace players. I feel the squad lacks quality at the moment because if Cesc, Persie or Kolo (who is off now) got injured there was no one there to replace them off the bench and keep the team momentum going.

Again no disrespect to any of the players. I have full faith in this team and know that it will develop into a force to be recon with (if we can hold on to our players) however right now we need all the quality players we have and I for one am extremely disappointed that Arsene has decided to sell off Toure.

Get Ready To Lose Fabregas

Unfortunately for us fans Barcelona has launched yet another bid for Cesc Fabregas. They are getting desperate and want to bring Cesc in to the strengthen their lineup. Honestly I don't blame them seeing how Real Madrid is stacking up their side. However for us Arsenal fans that just means that we should get ready to say good bye to Fabregas. The new bid...

Is currently undisclosed. However rumors have it that it's going to make decision making for Arsene very very hard. Arsenal, financially strapped as it is, will probably off load the player given that the offer is around the range of his price tag of £40 million.

If soccer history has taught me anything it's that this much hype around a transfer normally ends up in it happening. It's just a matter of two sides playing hard to get so they can negotiate better but are certainly looking to make things happen. God, I hope I'm wrong about this but I have a very strong feeling I'm not.

Here's why I think Cesc is on his way.

1. His statement that he would like to join Barcelona.
2. Arsenal can use the money, believe it or not, it's all about the money for the club these days.
3. Arsenal hasn't won a trophy in four years where as Barcelona has been on prime form. And any player in the world wants to be a part of the winning side.
4. Arsenal has lost their legacy as a top club and players these days want to be associated with top clubs, which Barcelona is.
5. Move to Barcelona means a better contract for Cesc.

*Sigh*, Again I honestly hope I'm wrong however odds say otherwise. It'll take a real believer to turn down a club like Barca or Real for that matter to believe in Arsenal for one more season. Is Fabregas Stevie G? Time will tell...

Arsenal Transfer Ins And Outs

Arsenal's transfers have been far from exciting, heck I'm going to call it out, it has been massively disappointing. I don't entirely blame it on Arsene however part of the blame does fall on him, atleast in my opinion. Fortunately for us though, the transfer window is far from over and we still have the time, if our financial situation allows us to bring in one or two decent signings. But for now club's Ins and outs are as following.

Ins:
  • Thomas Vermaelen From Ajax For £11m
Outs:
  • Amaury Bischoff - Released
  • James Dunne - Released
  • Rui Fonte - Released
  • Abu Ogogo - Released
  • Paul Rodgers - Released
  • Rene Steer - Released
  • Vincent van den Berg - Released
  • Anton Blackwood - Released

STFU Cristiano Ronaldo

So as most of you have already heard, the latest addition to Real Madrid's Los Galacticos lineup, the golden boy himself Cristiano Ronaldo claims that La Liga is superior than Engish Premier League. I would love to be creative here and say something slick however I think a simple "STFU Ronaldo" is enough.

The fact that Florentino Perez is spending like a crazy fool doesn't make the league superior. The fact that you moved from here to there doesn't make it superior. The fact that you think that it's superior.... DOESN'T FUCKING MAKE IT SUPERIOR.

I can't believe that he made a statement like that a few minutes, only a few minutes after he arrived in the country. He hasn't played a single game for the club or the league for that matter and he's already calling it out. Seriously??? Real Madrid hasn't won a major cup in two years and Ronaldo of all the people is making claims that the league is superior. You're a joke chap. STFU, practice and try to over come Barcelona for now.

I will give him this. Barcelona was at it's prime last year and if they continue to do what they did last year then all other clubs better bring their "A" game to the table. Howeverrrrrrrr that doesn't have anything to do with you, your club or the league.

The fact that English teams have been dominating the final rounds of the Champions League for the last 2 years goes a long way. I haven't seen spanish teams do that in a while. Or better yet, someone please educate me, when was the last time three spanish teams made it to the final four in the Champions League? Does anyone see three teams from Spain in the final four of Champions League this year?

Someone needs to tell Ronaldo that one or two clubs don't make up the entire league. Here's the prime reason why EPL is superior than La Liga. Even though massive spending lead to big stars moving to Spain but the competition in the league is still between Barca and Real, where as the Valencia and Athletico will make up for the top four.

In the EPL however, it's almost impossible to call out the top two or four for that matter. It's a nail biter till the end. The reason for that is, that even though this league doesn't have as many big superstars but it does on average have more quality players than La Liga does. On any given Sunday you can see a top four club losing out to a relegation zone team where as that is a scarce site in La Liga.

*Sigh* STFU Ronaldo......

Quit Sleeping On The Job Arsene

Alright, so even though it has been a few days since Owen moved to Manu but still what the fuck is going on??? seriously!!! We happen to be a club that's tight on cash and desperately looking for a good striker and Manchester United are the ones who walk away with Owen. WTF!!!??? Granted that Owen had a poor season and a number of injury problems I still think he's got the capability of a leading striker. And unfortunately for our sleeping asses so do did Sir Alex Ferguson.

We banked on players like Eduardo & Rosiky, you can't be seriously thinking that Owen isn't worth a shot. I realize that it's a risk to sign a player like Michael Owen however if a club like Manu can sign him, I seriously think Arsene you should have been looking into it as well. I'm all for the strategy of bringing in the youngsters and securing our future but when the fuck do we focus on the present?

With hopefully Ade out the door soon (fingers crossed regardless of what his agent says) we could have snapped up a decent striker and still have all the money left over to maybe invest in mid-field or another striker. I can't believe that Owen slipped through. We should have been the first club interested in the striker. Not now, not a week ago but the second New Castle got relegated, we should have been all over him. I honestly think that this is an opportunity missed as next season will show.
